[Important] Changes to the DataCebo Forum

Hello everyone,

We hope this forum has been useful for troubleshooting, ideating, and learning more about SDV’s features. As we continue to grow, we plan to make a few changes with the goal of providing you reliable and fast support for SDV. Here are some changes that you’ll see in the next few weeks:

:glowing_star: A sleeker, more modern UI with an updated URL. We’re modernizing the look-and-feel of this forum. Expect a more intuitive, sleeker UI in the coming weeks. And don’t worry – all functionality will remain as-is. As part of the change, we’re also moving this forum to a new URL (forum.datacebo.com). After we make the change, you will be redirected to the new URL automatically.

:card_file_box: Improved category organization. To keep our forum organized, we’ll be creating new categories for the different types of questions we see – for example, Installation, Synthetic Data Creation, Evaluation, and more. We’ll also include a few special categories (like this one!) for important announcements from the DataCebo team. Some important notes to keep in mind:

  • We’ll remove the existing Welcome to SDV Enterprise and Developer Support categories. Over the next few weeks, we’ll move existing conversations from these categories into the appropriate new destination.
  • Any private threads you have with DataCebo will stay in the same place, and continue to remain private!

:waving_hand: View-access and public registration. To better serve all members of SDV, anonymous or logged out users will be able to browse through topics in the public categories. We’ll also enable general public registration to this forum, which will allow SDV community members and prospective SDV Enterprise users into the space. What this means for you:

  • Any existing threads that are in the Welcome to SDV Enterprise and Developer Support will continue to be visible to others (in their new location).
  • Others will be able to see your username, avatar, and other information you choose to share on your profile. Additional information such as your name and email will only be visible to the DataCebo team. You can choose to update your username and shared information any time via the preferences panel (settings).

We’ve now created a few new categories that you can use for asking questions. Please find the appropriate category when starting new discussions:

We’ve also moved existing, public conversations into the appropriate places.

You should see these categories appearing on the sidebar at the left.

Customize the categories that appear for you: However over the “Categories” section on the left, click the three dots, and then click “Edit Sidebar Categories”. Here you, can select which categories you’d like to see by default (for your profile only). Click “Reset to defaults” to use our recommended ones.
